About The Position
Job Title : Optical Logistics Technician Job Specialty : Optical Logistics Job Duration : 6 weeks Shift : Day - 5x8 - 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : At least 1 year of experience in any type of assembly, light manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
License : Not applicable Certifications : Not applicable Must-Have : Basic computer knowledge and experience- Ability to communicate effectively and project a positive image- Ability to stand for the majority of the 8-hour shift- Analytical thinking skills Job Description : Conduct cycle counts and oversee office or distribution center inventories.
- Handle product exchanges and process merchandise returns.- Receive and order products, review various inventory reports, and manage stock levels while adhering to the established budget.
- Duties may also include pulling lenses and matching them to frames, working on an assembly line, or following up on orders.
- Light lifting up to 15 pounds required. Preferred : Shipping / receiving / warehouse / assembly line experience is highly preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in shipping and receiving merchandise and inventory procedures.- Experience with Acuity Logic software system or other inventory or shipping / receiving software is preferred.
- Optical experience with a strong emphasis on optical product knowledge is preferred. Education : Required : HS Diploma or G.
