Qualifications
No educational requirements. Ability to speak English effectively to respond to questions from customers, donors, team members, and leadership.
Basic math skills preferred.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
- Handles all donations with care and respect.
- Tips donations into bins and sorts goods into categories.
- Inspects donated goods and remove potentially harmful items for safety and high-quality items for online sales.
- Maintains high quality and high quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
- Efficiently and safely transports bins to and from the sales floor.
- Straighten, rotate, and maintain the cleanliness of the store, including the sales floor, warehouse, and donation dock, efficiently to adhere to Goodwill Retail Procedures.
- Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assistance, and thanks, to in-person customers, donors, and those over the phone.
- Reads and follows all operational procedures and agency employee handbook policies
- Maintain a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS / Goodwill's dress code.
- Safeguards agency assets, including cash, donated and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
- Must adhere to all MERS / Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.
