TheRole
At Unloop we aim to createopportunities in the tech industry for individuals reintegratingfrom prison. We are seeking an Operations Director to lead Unloopsgrant management financial reporting and overall organizationaladministration.
This role offers a unique chance to join a teamdedicated to making a difference at the crossroads of technologyand socialjustice.
Responsibilities
GrantsManagement
- Procurementof grant opportunities and new fundingstreams
- Completion and submission of grantapplications RFPs and other contractawards
- Build and maintain relationships withfunding partners serving as the primary point of contact betweenUnloop and funding partners
- Provide promptacknowledgment of awards and gifts to the Unloopcommunity
- Timely reporting of grantimplementation to funding partners
- Develop andmaintain a database for grant tracking including progress reportsbudgets andmore
NavigationSupport
Participant support Meet regularlywith participants as their primary point of contact with Unloop toset goals and manage barriers to completing their educationalgoals.
Guide participants on which educational path best fits theirneeds help create a plan for their training and then support in theimplementation of that plan toward successfulcompletion
- Data Management Manage adatabase to track the progress and involvement of participants inUnloop programs and educationalservices
- Enrollment Develop a robust outreach plan to meetenrollment goals including inperson visits to local organizationsprisons work releases transitional housing programs and colleges.
Pay special attention to providing enrollment opportunities forpeople of marginalizedbackgrounds
Communitybuilding Facilitate regular community meetingswith participants and the larger Unloop community to ensureprogramming meets participant needs look for opportunities tostrengthen participant voice in Unloops strategic direction andoperations and create a dedicated space for participants toconnect
DonorAdministration
- DonorAdministration Prepare gift acknowledgment lettersfor all donations and update donor information in tracking softwarepromptly
- Donation Deposits Promptly deposit donations to the Unloopaccount
AdministrativeSupport
- BookkeepingSupport Assist Unloop staff and board with managingexpense entries. Partner with the bookkeeper to reconcilefinancials monthly and respond to the bookkeepers inquiries asneeded.
- BoardSupport Provide direct support to Unloops board ofdirectors by assisting with board meeting preparation taking notesduring biweekly board meetings and supporting with subsequentfollowup actionitems
- Communications Partner with Unloop staff to prepare and execute social mediaupdates newsletters and other stakeholder communication.

Qualifications
- 3years of experience in managing organizational and programmaticoperations including reporting on grantactivities
- Experience or aptitude in writinggrant reports and proposals
- Experience inmanaging budgetary spending
- Prior experience ingrant partner relationship building prospecting and strategydevelopment
- Strong analysis of power dynamicsacross elements of identity such as race gender and class and theability to translate that analysis into providing culturallyresponsive support to programparticipants
- Experience in the reentrycommunity and knowledge of navigationservices
- Any combination of educationexperience and measurable performance that demonstrates thecapability to perform the duties of theposition
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GSuite

- Location : Greater Seattle area (hybrid)
- Hours : Fulltime(40 hours per week)
- Working Hours : Flexibleschedule with availability during typical business hours (95PST)
- Physical requirements : Ability to handleboth sitting and screen time for extendedperiods

Compensation
Thisposition is salaried ($80000$100000) and includes health benefitsand generousPTO.
