A Premium Food organization is seeking a driven, hands-on leader as Director of Quality Assurance for their world-class facility.
Summary :
The Director of Quality Assurance will be responsible for leading all safety operations in a manner which aligns with organizational goals and FDA / USDA standards, protocols, and policies- reporting to the VP of Operations.

The ideal Director of Quality Assurance will have the following skill set :
- Bachelor's degree in food science / engineering or related technical field required
- 8+ years' experience in an Quality environment
- Food or beverage manufacturing environment required
- Experienced with audit compliance
- Expert in USDA, FDA or GMP Guidelines
- LEAN / Six Sigma / 5 Whys / Pareto Certifications preferred, but not required
- Superior leadership abilities- communication, collaboration, organization
- Bilingual- Spanish is a plus
The Director of Quality Assurance will have the following responsibilities :
- Oversee all Quality and Food Saftey operations daily within the facility- equal time on floor and in office
- Lead a high performing and cohesive team with collaboration across Quality, Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, and Customer Service within the facility
- Drive Continuous Improvement and safety culture across entire facility- promoting and developing efficiency programs
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop, execute and uphold long-term business plans which align with company vision, values and standards
- Build and expand in house capabilities, building process to have COAs readily available for customers
- Ensure guidance and support to all colleagues in processes to obtain required key regulatory certification requirements
- Develop, implement and uphold recall and Traceability Programs including Mock Recalls
- Ensure operations are following FDA, USDA, Kosher, Gluten-Free, and Organic Regulations
