Position Title : Lab Technician
Location : Piffard, NY 14533
Duration : 2 Months - Temp to Hire
Schedule : Days to Nights Rotation (3 weeks day / 3 weeks nights) 4 on and 4 off rotation. 6am-4pm and 6pm-4am
Pay Rate is based on experience $22-$24 with a $1.00 shift differential.
Job Summary (include Context and Environment)
Performs all aspects of Quality Control sampling, testing, data entry and associated paperwork related to final product release and support of technology departments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities with % Breakdown :
Identify the major activities or responsibilities of the job (usually 4 to 6). Using a short phrase name or list each activity;
estimate the percentage of time spent on each one. Then describe each activity in detail, and how it is done. Use increments of 10% and higher.
- GMP Quality Control testing following current test procedures for intermediate and final products.
- Maintain knowledge of all test procedures
- Quality Control data entry and release of final products to approved specifications
- Perform calibrations and verifications of Q.C. lab equipment.
- Maintain required documentation and filing of test records, as required by all relevant Quality Systems.
- Print and inventory all labels in accordance with weekly production schedule
- Maintains a safe, clean work area in the lab.
- Complies with all aspects of Plant Quality policy and safety requirements
- Participates in Quality improvement processes and continual learning programs
- Performs shift Quality Assurance requirements including batch sheet review and audits
- Work schedule include day / night shift rotation requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Education Required
Min Years of Experience
1 year experience in an analytical chemistry lab preferred
Education and area of focus
- Associates degree in science or related field.
- Titration and other wet chemistry experience preferred
- Knowledge of ChemStation software, Agilent GCs and Agilent LCs preferred
Certifications / Trainings :
Competencies -Knowledge Skills & Abilities (KSAs)
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to multitask while working independently and balance priorities
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
- Supports the site HES&Q policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements.
- Participates in HES activities provided by site management. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)
- Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents.
