The role of a dishwasher is vital in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards at Via Roma. Dishwashers are responsible for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized for reuse.
Key Responsibilities :
- Dishwashing : Wash dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, and pans either by hand or using dishwashing equipment such as industrial dishwashers.
- Sanitization : Ensure that all washed items are properly sanitized to eliminate any bacteria or contaminants. Follow established sanitation procedures and guidelines.
- Cleaning : Clean and maintain dishwashing equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality and hygiene standards. Keep the dishwashing area clean and organized.
- Assisting with Kitchen Prep : Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling vegetables, cutting fruits, or portioning ingredients when necessary.
- Waste Management : Dispose of garbage and recycling properly. Maintain cleanliness in trash disposal areas.
- Adherence to Health and Safety Regulations : Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
This includes proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Teamwork : Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure efficient operations. Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow.
- Time Management : Manage time effectively to complete dishwashing tasks in a timely manner, especially during peak hours.
Qualifications :
- Physical Stamina : Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail to ensure dishes are properly cleaned and sanitized.
