Summary Description :
Responsible for supervising the development and execution of a product management program which provides for the profitable expansion of the existing instruments and instrument accessories product offerings.
This position is responsible for working closely with and ensuring coordination with Global Manufacturing and Operations, Sourcing, Accounting and Finance, Legal, and Global Marketing and Sales regarding all instrument product related matters.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide the leadership for instruments and instrument accessories product planning, management & execution in the areas of product development, product maintenance, pricing, and product life-cycle management.
- Responsible for oversight of margin and price management practices and policies for instruments and instrument accessories.
- Travel to major customers with Sales team to provide guidance in product line ups.
- Responsible for instruments and instrument accessories market research, product design and new product development.
- Oversee the research and analyses of economic and market conditions and evaluate the information as to the probable impact to the product lines.
- Remain abreast of the competitive landscape and communicate to the organization the competitions' product offerings, manufacturing, and marketing practices.
- Represent the company at trade associations and industry activities such as international and national shows and participate in industry associations such as NAMM.
- Actively participate in the preparation and management of the capital plan and operating budget for this position.
- Supervise and ensure regulatory approval for new products. Assure new products are with manufacturing in adequate time for quantity needed for launches.
- Regularly interact with and personally support team members in the development and execution of their key programs.
- Perform all other duties or functions as assigned by the Vice President Product Management.

Position Requirements :
- College degree and / or 10+ years' experience in Management with a proven track record of profitable accomplishments.
- Knowledge of the instrument and instrument accessories market.
- Ability to play guitar or ukulele a plus.
- Proven track record of developing market leading products, implementing innovative market strategies, reducing costs, increasing efficiency and delivering profitability without compromising quality.
- Proven ability to communicate and connect with people at all levels of the organization.
- Outlook and approach that supports collaboration.
- Dynamic leadership and teambuilding capacity with a successful track record of staff development and coaching.
- Ability to travel on occasional basis required.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office products required.
