As an Observation Medicine Medical Director with USACS, youll be responsible for managing observation medicine services by collaborating with the hospital and nursing leadership while offering support to your physician staff.
As a leader for both the hospital and US Acute Care Solutions, you will influence broad company decisions and help facilitate the development of new leaders.
Job Details
- Oversee day-to-day management of the unit
- Provide leadership in the operations of the unit
- Responsible for peer review, quality assurance, provider staffing
- Assure quality patient experience by managing protocols and complaints
- Practice Clinically
Administrative Responsibilities
- Lead and organize all meetings to represent the Observation Unit
- Responsible for the supervision on the onsite Physician Staff by managing the day to day responsibilities of these clinicians
- Report to the National Director of Observation Services
- Maintain improvement plans for any area not meeting expected benchmarks
- Investigate quality referrals from the hospital quality committee
Requirements
- Board certified in Emergency Medicine
- A minimum of 3 years experience caring for hospital based patients
- Previous administrative experience desirable
