Sr Engineering Project Manager (Controls / IT)

The Sr. Engineering Project Manager (Controls / IT) is responsible for providing engineering expertise and technical support in the area of electrical, automation, and factory IT systems across multiple Pet Nutrition manufacturing sites throughout the North America region.

This will require the ability to work across multiple segments (wet and dry pet food) and all aspects of electrical, instrumentation, Factory IT and control disciplines for batch, continuous process, and packaging systems.

The Sr Engineering Project Manager is an active member of the regional engineering and control teams in addition to assigned project teams.

Associate preferred location is at any of the 6 sites listed : BRN, KKC, KKS, KKR, NEA, and VIC.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required. Electrical or Electronics Engineering or other related electrical or controls degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a comparable technical position - food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry preferable
  • In depth knowledge of industrial low voltage electrical systems, instrumentation, PLC, HMI / SCADA and industrial control networks
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) / Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) systems, Factory IT Systems (physical / virtual servers, networks), and Factory Cyber Security is a plus
  • Fundamental knowledge of project management
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and on high performing teams
  • Strong communication, listening, and influencing skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

  • Execute capital projects with excellence (scope, budget, cashflow delivery and schedule)
  • Develop project scope, technical requirements / specifications, and manage overall technical scope deliverables, including value leadership
  • Be an active participant in the development and continuous improvement of regional and global standards
  • Managing projects to deliver safe, secure, and environmentally responsible results
  • Engaging project team members, encouraging them to proactively perform assigned tasks
  • Managing multiple responsibilities including project execution, functional support and self-development, concentrating on growing the role
  • Contributing to a winning environment which promotes safety, trust and confidence
  • Complying with and reinforcing safety, security and environmental policies

Total rewards at Mars includes base pay, competitive benefits, and annual bonus (if position is eligible). The full-time pay range for this role is :

USD 106,234.00 - USD 159,352.00
