DESCRIPTION
Reputable, Established, Family-owned investment management firm headquartered in Dallas, TX that invests in commercial real estate, private equity, and energy seeking a Senior Accountant.
Its commercial real estate platform is a best-in-class, full-service owner, and operator of a national office portfolio.
In addition to its office portfolio, the platform is looking to diversify its holdings into industrial, multifamily and hospitality.
Responsibilities include full-cycle accounting, reconciling account balances and banks statements, and preparing month-end close.
A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of real estate accounting.
This position will interact with all levels of the company from property management to executive management and ownership.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable processing including ACH file upload and PosPay management,
- Construction Invoice processing,
- Payroll and Benefits funding and general ledger accounting and reconciliation,
- Daily Cash position reporting,
- Monthly Property Management Fee calculation,
- Monthly Bank Reconciliation,
- Monthly Corporate Credit Card statement reconciliation,
- Monthly general ledger account reconciliation,
- Annual 1099 filings,
- Assist with audits and tax returns,
- Assisting the Accounting team with preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting,
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting degree is required,
- Real estate accounting and Yardi experience preferred,
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with a strong emphasis on Excel,
- Ability to find solutions to problems and clear hurdles,
- Strong organizational and communication skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
