Test Automation Engineer - DIRECT HIRE
Summary
The Test Automation Engineer develops, executes, and maintains automated test cases that assess software functionality and performance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Reviews software requirements and specifications to develop an automated testing strategy for a product or release.
- Codes reusable test functions or components.
- Executes automated tests using multiple systems, platforms, environments, or browsers. Logs and track defects, reports technical issues to development or product management teams, and verifies fixes.
- Requires an understanding of the software development life cycle.
Qualifications
- Ability to demonstrate proactive approach to problem resolution, strong troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify complex problems; review related information and develop options and implement solutions.
- Stays abreast of current technologies and develops innovative ideas to be introduced into new or existing products.
- Maintains expert knowledge of the product(s) and ensures that adaptations to applications provide solutions to user's needs.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related field; or combination of education and experience required
- 1 year experience in software quality or related function
- Working knowledge of object-oriented programming languages preferred
- Working knowledge of automated browser testing preferred
