Summary :
The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels within the distribution center. This role involves performing regular cycle counts, restocking picking locations, making necessary inventory adjustments, and ensuring system updates and maintenance are accurate.
This role also handles quality control, manages over picked and canceled items, and creates product bundles. Additionally, the role includes basic computer work and the execution of additional duties such as order picking, packing, and clearing the front dock.
Responsibilities :
- Executes cycle count programs to maintain inventory accuracy and balance.
- Assist with correctly completing the input of all required data entry using D365.
- Assist with identifying problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance of products, and document these issues.
- Stocking and distributing products throughout the warehouse.
- Assist with the resolution of discrepancies in inventory procedures and / or product.
- Review, understand, apply, and comply with all standard operating procedures.
- Continually strive to improve Power Sales’ processes for improved safety, quality and efficiency.
Requirements :
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Possess a keen eye for detail to identify and rectify shipping errors accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to research errors, identify patterns, and propose effective solutions to streamline distribution operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to respond to customer service inquiries, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and provide clear instructions to DC personnel.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including email, spreadsheets / Excel, and warehouse management software, to track orders, generate reports, and communicate effectively.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Adaptability to changing priorities, work schedules, and deadlines as per the business needs.
Education and Experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
- Standup forklift certified.
- Microsoft Suite
- D365, a plus
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving objects, as required in a warehouse setting. Work Location :
