Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities :
Conduct a successful, aggressive action plan to include solicitations - outside sales calls, inside appointments and telephone calls.
As a proactive sales manager, 50% (fifty) of time should be spent in active sales solicitation with new and existing clientele.
- Assist the Director of Sales in the preparation of the annual marketing plan, including the action plans covering assigned market segments.
- Send proposals on all leads which fit the profile of the property and actively follow through to convert from proposal to definite status.
- Obtain, document and route all necessary information on definite groups, including billing information, credit application, rooming list and VIP arrangements.
Details on meeting arrangements, menus, audio-visual arrangements, etc., should be documented and passed on to catering manager.
The starting annual salary range for this position is $55,380 to $61,000 plus incentive potential.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Syracuse is looking for a dynamic, motivated Group Sales Manager to focus on the Association Markets.

Highly desired skills :
- Strong business communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to talk to and listen to clients, extract pertinent information and close the business in a professional and courteous manner.
- Possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit, be goal oriented, and self-motivated.
- While upper upscale group hotel sales experience is highly preferred, we will consider dynamic, and proven, up and coming sellers looking to move to the next level in their career.
- Delphi FDC knowledge is a plus.
