The licensed counselor will be responsible for offering support and assistance to patients enrolled in Medication Assisted Treatment for opioid use disorder.
Utilizing evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed approach, the counselor will help patients develop individualized coping techniques and symptom management skills that enable then to experience improved quality of life.
Through collaboration with doctors, nurses and a multidisciplinary team, the counselor will play a vital role in evaluating patient progress and developing an individualized plan of care.
Essential Job Functions : ·Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service at regularly scheduled intervals based on patient need, best practices and state regulations;
coordinate all services throughout treatment. ·Conducts initial assessment and evaluation to determine eligibility for services.
- Complete Bio-psychosocial assessment. ·Establish individualized treatment plan with each patient and review as clinically indicated.
- Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints. ·Develop aftercare and discharge plans. ·Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
Qualifications : · Must be a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts ·Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals ·Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population ·Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
