This newly created role is essential in supporting families and youth in a residential community through connection building, event coordination, and data tracking.
As a Family Youth Coordinator, you’ll spend about 70% of your time developing relationships with internal and external partners, and 30% managing grant participant data in Excel.
Your role will involve significant event planning and facilitation for groups averaging around 20 participants, as well as extensive communication and follow-up.
What You’ll be Doing
- Develop and maintain strong connections with families, local organizations, and community partners
- Facilitate and coordinate events and group activities for families and youth
- Manage and track participant data to support grant compliance and reporting
- Provide support through case management, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution
- Advocate for families and assist them in accessing local resources
Here’s what your work history needs to show as evidence that you’re the right candidate
- Experience facilitating groups for children, youth, and / or adults
- Experience in case management, crisis intervention, conflict resolution, child development, and service coordination with families and children
- Knowledge of social issues such as homelessness, mental health, trauma, domestic violence, and substance abuse, along with local resources to support affected families
To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following requirements :
- Three years of direct social service experience, including at least one year serving low-income families, children, and youth, OR
- Bachelor’s degree in child development, education, or a related field, plus at least one year of relevant experience, OR
- A combination of other education, experience, and measurable performance demonstrating the capacity to fulfill the role
Here’s the important details :
- Location : Seattle, WA (100% onsite)
- Job Type : Temp-to-Hire, Immediate Start
- Schedule : Monday to Friday, with flexibility for 1-3 weekend or evening events per month.
- Flexible start time between 8 : 00-9 : 00AM, working 8 hours per day.
- Hourly pay rate : $31 per hour depending on experience.
