The purpose of the position :

The Building Maintenance Technician / Groundskeeper performs ongoing facility maintenance and ground maintenance.

Hours of Operation : 6AM- 6PM

6AM- 6PM

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Successfully troubleshoot, install, inspect, maintain, and repair, buildings, and other equipment as directed.
• Use of hand and shop tools safely and efficiently.
• Identify parts & supplies as needed to perform assigned tasks using manuals, catalogs, etc.
• Properly fill out work orders request for emergency and scheduled work.
• Perform all daily activity for proper documentation.
• Inspects and repairs to building, restroom, offices, break areas to include plumbing and painting.
• Must be able to climb / withstand great heights.
• Hangs all banners and set up / take down for events.
• Also handles all outside repairs of building, parking lots, and all grounds.
• Adhere to all Safety policies.
• Must have electrical knowledge.
• Must be able to weld.
• Fabrication skills preferred

Minimum Education

High School or equivalent

Experience Requirements

0 -2 years. Reading, writing and analytical skills are required. Must have all personal tools and have the ability to learn to use and operate hand tools and industrial shop equipment.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

• Position is active.
• On the plant floor activities such as troubleshooting and re-design of existing systems are routine.
• May need to move equipment occasionally.
• May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
• Position requires an associate to have the ability to move throughout the complex and all facilities.
• Climbing to great heights / withstand is a requirement.

When in a plant environment :

• Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
• Wet and cold environment.
• May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
• May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
• May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
• May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
