Description

The candidate will be study factors that regulate mitochondrial priming and its role in therapeutic responses in multiple myeloma.

Studies will be mechanistic in nature but with a goal for translating to developing novel treatment approaches in this disease.

Background in cell and molecular biology and experience and an understanding of apoptotic pathways is required. Experience with bioinformatics and / or other quantitative approaches is preferred.

Successful candidates are expected be able to work in a collaborative work environment with other labs and clinical research partners.

The initial appointment is for one year, renewal expected if progress is satisfactory and funds are available. Appointments cannot exceed five years.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : A doctoral degree or equivalent (., ., ScD., ., DDS etc) in an appropriate field. Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills.

The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues. Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator.
