We are seeking a team member that will be responsible for the general mechanical assembly MQ Power Generators, trowels, and trailers, which includes but not limited to;
mounting, drilling, grinding, altering, and aligning assemblies and subassemblies.
Responsibilities
- Studies assembly instructions, prints, and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical units
- Gather parts, subassemblies, tools and materials
- Drill, tap, ream, countersink and spot-face bolt holes in parts, using drill presses and portable power drills
- Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly
- File, lap and buff parts to fit, using hand and power tools
- Inspect, test and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances and customer order requirements
- Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications.
- Attach name plates and mark identifying information on parts
- Maintain inventory levels by checking stock required for ever day assembly
- Clean and lubricate parts and subassemblies, using grease paddles or solvents.
- Operate small cranes and / or forklifts to transport or position large parts
- Contribute to team efforts as needed
- Perform other duties that may be assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma; and at least one (1) year of mechanical or fabrication experience in a manufacturing / assembly environment
- Able to operate hand held tools
- Ability to operate forklift and small cranes
- Good problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills
- Must be able to read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and product
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must be able to work well with minimal supervision.

The usual and customary methods of performing the job functions require the following physical demands. Occasional lifting between 25 and 50 pounds, Carrying, pushing and or pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
Generally the job requires 10% sitting 45% walking and 45% standing.

- Base pay range of $20-$22 an hour
