Job Description
The Thoracic Medical Oncology Team consists of specialists who are dedicated to advancing the care, treatment and research of patients who have lung cancers.
The advanced practice provider will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide supportive care, symptom management and survivorship care needs.
Scope of Position
The Advanced practice provider is responsible for providing health care services to adult patients within the parameters of a supervisory agreement with an attending physician member of James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.
Position Summary
The Advanced practice provider provides health care services to adult patients working under the supervision of a licensed physician member of the medical staff.
Health care services provided include care during acute and chronic phases of illness, education and counseling of individuals and families, health promotion and prevention and referral to other health care providers and community resources when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a CNP in the State of Ohio.
Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio board of Nursing.
Master's degree in Nursing.
Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a PA in the State of Ohio. Graduate of a Physician Assistant program that qualifies the graduate to sit for national Certification Commision for Physician Assistant (NCCPA) certification.
