Business Operations Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, analysis and ongoing operations of research programs, provide project management support, administrative assistance and conducts the daily operations of program administrative services.
Supervises 1-2 staff members.
- Paperless files conversion to computer files, and archiving in several previous departments
- Obtain and oversee Cisco Jabber phone lines for team of 40+ employees
- Interface with IT to ensure computers, laptops, and desktops are purchased and operational
- Manages PCards for a team of 9 investigators and 40+ employees University, OSP and travel
- Manages Amazon Business account for study incentives
- Created and manages multiple email distribution lists
- Oversees, monitors, and reconciles multiple checking accounts for research studies
- Supervises and trains student workers and office staff
- Manages new employee onboarding, training, benefits, payroll, FMLA,
- Manages Visas
- Manages travel, reimbursements, and itineraries for invited speakers / guests / fellows / faculty
- Creates agendas, meeting minutes, and presentations
- Manages vendor relationships and relationships within OSU and with community organizations purchasing and acquiring various types of capital and non-capital equipment for labs and departments;
bid waivers; blanket orders, and other purchases.
- Oversees and manages grant spending, monitors salary distributions, creates financial reports for extramural sponsors
- Executive calendar management
- Uses Artificial Intelligence software to create videos and documents for sponsored projects and reports
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
