Ascendant is recruiting experienced carpenters to support Federal construction programs in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Our carpenters are involved in every aspect of our construction projects. Their understanding of how it all comes together, focus on customer mission, and quality workmanship ensures that our projects achieve objectives and are completed safely, on schedule, and on budget.
These positions are based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area including the Baltimore-Washington corridor and Northern Virginia.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in rough and finish carpentry; commercial office and Government facility renovation experience preferred
- Ability to review project plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required
- General knowledge of all trades and their interaction to efficiently work on the project
- Ability to diagnose and creatively solve problems and challenges inherent in multiple trade construction projects
- Ability to operate both independently and in a team environment to complete tasks and succeed in a fast-paced environment
- Good writing and communication skills
- Focus on Safety for the individual, crew, project participants, building occupants, and public
- Must be able to obtain security clearance
- Candidate must possess a valid driver's license
