Media Planner / Buyer

At Cactus, were not really the bragging type we like to let our work do the talking. But, we love to brag about our in-house media group.

Lately this team has been on a roll, growing rapidly in both sophistication and in size, and were continuing to add new in-house offerings and take on new client partners.

Were looking for a Media Planner / Buyer to join our crew and help us solidify our executional foundation across our client roster.

This is a full-time position that we are looking to fill immediately.

Our Media team is structured around Client Leads, overseeing all media planning and buying activities for their specific book of business.

These Client Leads work closely with our Subject Matter Expert teams to develop recommendations, implement, optimize and report on media performance.

This Media Planner / Buyer role is a crucial part of the team; think of it as the glue that supports multiple key foundations within our team structure, primarily focused on social planning / execution as well as broadcast buying support.

This role will be responsible for hands-on media planning and buying work, pacing stewardship and consistent project management.

Salary Expectations : $55-65k dependent on relevant experience

This is a Denver-based job with hybrid at home / in-office working

Job Roles

  • Manage all social planning and buys in Facebook / Instagram, LinkedIn and other various platforms for our roster of clients
  • Partner with Client Leads to develop social strategies and analysis for clients
  • Collaborate with Account, Creative and Strategy teams to ensure that social buy expectations are clear and on brief
  • Be consistently out front of Client Leads with optimization recommendations and budget issues within social platforms
  • Populate and maintain pacing sheets to ensure social buys are pacing to budget and achieving agreed-upon KPIs
  • Work with Client Leads on planning and reporting presentations, joining the presentations as our social expert
  • Support broadcast lead with negotiating, placing and trafficking various broadcast buys
  • Assist in managing broadcast buys in Strata, reconciling actual buys vs. planned on a monthly basis
  • Collaborate with account coordinator to ensure billing packets have the correct job numbers and spend for each client
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and identify areas of development within social media
  • Oversee reporting, traffic measurement, and ROI analysis for social, partnering with our media analyst and Client Leads on trends and insights

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in social media buy management
  • A strong understanding of traditional and digital media tactics and how they work together
  • Strong project management skills
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Be detail-oriented, very organized, able to multitask, and work well under pressure
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of pixel management within Facebook
  • Self-starter; demonstrative examples of being out front of stakeholders or clients on business decisions
  • Experience with lead generation / conversion media activities is a plus
