Job Summary :
Maintains a clean and safe environment for all patients, staff and visitors.
Essential Functions :
- Consistently performs using an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his / her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives.
- Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines.
- Cleans non-patient care areas, such as stairways, hallways, utility and storerooms.
- Removes stains from surfaces such as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using cleaning solutions.
- Empties all trashcans.
Minimum Qualifications : High school student in good standing. Must be at least 16 years old.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Good communication and teamwork skills preferred.
Working Conditions : Potentially exposed to infectious diseases.
Physical Requirements : Constantly stand, walk, reach, push / pull. Frequently bend / twist, stoop / kneel / crouch, lift / carry 25 to 49 lbs.
Occasionally lift / carry 50+ lbs.
