MCI seeks a mid-level Construction Project Manager to lead Commercial mechanical construction projects from start to finish, keeping them on schedule and under budget.

This is an in-office / in-field position that reports to the Charlotte Construction Manager and is in Charlotte, NC.

Essential Duties
Responsible for the planning and execution of project work plans, management of day-to-day office and field operations of projects including :
- Management of multiple high-quality projects built on time and within budget.
- o Ensure scope changes and change orders are processed and incorporated into the current scope of work in a timely manner.
- o Reviews various reports to determine project status and determine actions.
- o Provides periodic status and end of contract cost and budget analysis.
- o Conducts pre-job planning meetings and documents meeting results, ensures all action items are completed.
- o Develops and keeps current all project schedules. Ensures all schedules mesh with the master project schedule.
- o Establishes and executes subcontracts and equipment buy-outs to support schedules and budgets.
- o Customer interaction; scheduling, chair and recording special and regular status meetings with Customer, Subcontractors and City Inspectors.
- Maintain effective communications :
- o Communicates all project issues to the appropriate level of management in a timely manner.
- o Responsible to identify, evaluate and address customer needs and propose solutions; resolve or escalate issues in a timely fashion to mitigate team conflict and communication problems;
and deliver engaging, informative and well-organized communications.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities :
- o Managing the development of team project tasks, focus on attaining goals, identifying opportunities for improvement, and making constructive suggestions.
- o Mentor those with less experience through implementation of STAT training programs and participate in development opportunities.
- o Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions, lead internal task forces, comply with, and help enforce standard policies and procedures.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of mechanical construction experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management; or related field; or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience with all types of HVAC system.
- Preference given to experience in the planning and managing multiple construction projects in various phases of design and construction in a supervisory capacity as a Project Manager.
- Valid Driver's License; clean substance & background screening as applicable for role.
- Must be computer literate. Resources utilized include but are not limited to Microsoft Office, Viewpoint Vista, Procore, and CX Alloy applications.
Compensation
Exempt level position- Salary based on experience.
