The Opportunity
As Head of Quantitative Product Management, you will lead a matrixed team of resources in scoping, planning, gathering functional requirements, and strategizing on the development of new quantitative products and apps.
You will collaborate with portfolio managers, quant R&D resources, and operations personnel to deliver capabilities that meet the needs of portfolio managers and other ALM stakeholders.
You will also oversee the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, and monitor the performance and feedback of existing products.
As a member of Quant R&D’s leadership team, you will leverage your role to garner stakeholder buy-in and influence decisions that are critical to identifying and solving hurdles.

The Team
As part of IM’s Quantitative Research and Development group, the Quantitative Product Management team focuses on initiatives that improve or create new capabilities and tools for portfolio management and Asset Liability Management stakeholders.
In addition, the team also provides cross functional collaboration with the Corporate Actuarial and Business Analytics, Enterprise Risk Management, and the Corporate Project Management Office.
The Quantitative Research and Development ( QRD ) group and its constituent teams has general responsibilities for valuing assets, generating analytics, adopting emerging technologies, and conducting cashflow projections in support of operations across Investment Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Finance, and Corporate Actuarial and Business Analytics departments.
MassMutual’s General Investment Account (GIA) includes a wide range of asset classes totaling more than $200bn. The coordinated and combined efforts of the Quantitative Credit and Advanced Analytics team in conjunction with various stakeholders across MassMutual ensures our ability to find new ways of adding value to the GIA and MassMutual’s policyholders.
The Impact :
The Head of Quantitative Product Management has accountability for performing the following :
- Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to gather, scope, prioritize, vision and queue analytics and product development initiatives.
- Defining and executing the product strategy and roadmap for the development of investment product applications and solutions including for monitoring cash assets, order management, asset allocation, pricing, and measuring asset performance.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of investment resources in ensuring alignment with the overall product vision and goals.
- Conducting market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to identify and prioritize product opportunities and enhancements.
- Working closely with portfolio managers, quantitative engineers, and operations to develop and launch new products and solutions that meet the needs of various Investment Management stakeholders.
- Managing the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and compliance.
- Monitoring and evaluating the performance and feedback of existing products and solutions, and recommend changes or improvements as needed.
- Communicating product updates, features, and benefits to internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborating and acting as a liaison with Corporate Actuarial and Business Analytics, Enterprise Risk Management, the Corporate Project Management Office and ETX.
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or related field. MBA or CFA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in investment product management, development, or marketing, preferably in the asset management industry.
- Proven track record of leading and launching successful investment products and solutions across various asset classes, strategies, and vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of the investment landscape, customer segments, distribution channels, and regulatory environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly customer-focused, innovative, and results-oriented, with a passion for creating value for MassMutual's clients.
The Ideal Qualifications
Comfort learning and applying new and emerging technologies.
Experience using cloud-based technologies and Moody’s Analytics services.
Strong ability to coach and develop existing talent.
Strong understanding of application development lifecycle and principles.
Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Salary Range :
$148,300.00-$194,600.00
