Responsibilities include :
- Align, fit, and weld parts together according to engineering blueprints and specifications.
- Set up and operate a variety of hand tools and welding equipment.
- Maintain the highest quality and safety standards, paying meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborate with your team to maximize efficiency and productivity in our shop environment.
- Lift and handle raw materials, weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Pass D1.1 and D1.3 weld certification within two weeks of hire.
- Interpret and analyze drawing files to weld and fabricate components.
- Keep detailed records and ensure the maintenance of shop equipment and supplies.
What you need to succeed :
- Previous MIG welding experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in welding tools and safe metalworking procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and schematics.
- Experience setting up welding machines based on specific job requirements.
- A commitment to following quality standards and ensuring work is completed safely.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to enhance overall productivity.
- AWS certification history is a plus.
- A strong work ethic, dedication to maintaining quality and safety standards, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
