What we're looking for in a Caregiver- Memory Care
To excel as a Part-Time Caregiver in Memory Care at Mennonite Village, you must embody our core values of empathy, compassion, and stewardship in all aspects of your work.
Your ability to engage effectively with elderly individuals, coupled with patience and tact, is fundamental in providing the high level of care our residents deserve.
Strong communication skills, teamwork mentality, and a compassionate bedside manner are essential for fostering a supportive and respectful environment.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are :
- Supportive of Mennonite Village's mission vision and purpose
- Effectively engage and communicate with elderly individuals.
- Exhibit patience tact and willingness to handle challenging situations
- Promote teamwork mutual respect and effective communication
- Ability to accurately document activities of daily living
- Compassionate bedside manner and empathy toward residents
- Must be 18 years or older
- First aid certification within first 120 days of employment
- Food handler's card within first 120 days of employment
- Understanding of and commitment to residents rights and dignity
