Job Title : Chemist

Alsym Energy is seeking a talented and innovative Chemist to join our Discovery Team, focusing on materials preparation, cell components fabrication, cell assembly, and high-throughput (HT) experimentation.

This role is pivotal in advancing our efforts in developing next-generation battery systems, enabling the rapid prototyping and implementation of cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Contribute to the preparation and characterization of materials used in battery components.
• Fabricate various cell components and assemble cells for testing and evaluation.
• Conduct high-throughput experimentation to swiftly screen materials, electrolytes, and cell designs to enhance performance and safety metrics.
• Collaborate closely with computational and AI teams to incorporate predictive modeling and machine learning techniques into the battery design and fabrication processes.
• Perform detailed analysis of experimental data, utilize findings to optimize battery designs, and improve the overall manufacturing process.
• Ensure rigorous testing protocols are followed to evaluate critical performance metrics such as energy density, power density, cycle life, and safety.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in battery system design, HT experimentation, and novel battery fabrication techniques.
• Strong understanding of various battery chemistries and modern fabrication processes.
• Exceptional analytical skills, capable of deciphering complex data sets and leveraging insights to drive technological advancements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in presenting findings and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
