This position is responsible for performing analysis and reporting, while contributing to recommendations for the business unit.
Makes process improvements and adjustments to existing reporting models. Assists in small to medium projects, which may involve developing solution for problems within the business unit.
Helps to resolve problems or issues through methods of trouble shooting, as well as separate analysis. With guidance from leader, recommends changes to policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and analyzing property records in the Unclaimed Property system prior to the preparation of due diligence letters, state regulatory reports, or management requests.
- Preparing monthly reconciliations of the general ledger accounts to the Unclaimed Property system.
- Assisting in the preparation of state unclaimed property reports; ensure data reported is accurate and timely.
- Perform routine reporting and analysis contributing to recommendations for the business unit based on their needs for minor process improvement, along with assisting in small to medium projects within business unit.
- Working directly with business partners in a professional, effective manner to provide needed assistance or training, resolve discrepancies, and build relationships.
- Develop solutions for routine and less complex problems for the business unit. Trouble shoot, resolve problems or issues, while contributing to define solutions.
- Makes recommendations that best meet the company's objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in Service or Operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent documentation, attention to detail and prioritization skills required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word; familiarity with Access / database applications
- Strong analytical, quantitative & problem-solving skills and ability to use statistical analysis
- Strong knowledge of business operations and processes in more than two areas.
- Ability to communicate effectively on recommendations and analysis results, and establish and maintain strong relationships across the organization
- Ability to initiate and implement process improvements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
