Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage a budget exceeding $2 million, including a multi-market scholarship program.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee community and promotional events.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, non-profits, and government entities.
  • Address community needs proactively and respond to concerns.
  • Support the Sr. Director of Marketing and Executive Team in community relations and development programming.
  • Oversee awards and scholarship initiatives and manage a team of regional Community Outreach Coordinators.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies, including fundraising events and programs.
  • Engage with communities at events and foster partnerships.
  • Conduct research on best practices in community outreach and ensure effective measurements of impact.
  • Assist in producing company communications, including reports, newsletters, and social media content.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and take initiative on projects.
  • Work closely with the Executive Team to enhance community engagement and drive promotional efforts.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience in community initiative building or collective impact work.
  • Significant experience maintaining relationships and developing initiatives with community groups and business leaders.
  • Interaction with business leaders and community partners requires outstanding judgment and communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise and be a team player, balance multiple contending target dates. Time-management skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and organization are crucial to this position.
  • Position requires significant amount of personal responsibility, accountability, and self-motivation initiative.
  • Position requires passion for community development work, strong desire to maximize community impact, and strong engagement in meetings and at events.
  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries and build strong partnerships with other departments within the organization and outside vendors and partners.

Physical Requirements :

  • Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
  • Stand / Sit Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
  • Walk This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc.
  • Use of hands / fingers to handle or feel constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine / printer.
  • Climbs stairs May occasionally ascend / descend the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria, and parking area.
  • Carry weight / lift - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
