Minnesota Oral and Facial Surgery is a surgical practice that is driven by delivering the highest quality and compassionate surgical care to its patients.
Our practice is led by Deepak Kademani, a nationally recognized oral and maxillofacial surgeon and offers a broad scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery and head and neck surgery including complex implant based oral reconstruction.

Qualifications :
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Minnesota.
- Certification by the appropriate national certifying body (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA).
- Previous experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, or a surgical specialty preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel to satellite offices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Pre-Operative Assessment and Preparation :
- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to identify any potential complications.
- Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, expected outcomes, and post-operative care.
- Surgical Assistance :
- Assist surgeons during oral and facial surgical procedures, ensuring sterile techniques and adherence to surgical protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any intraoperative complications.
- Post-Operative Care :
- Provide immediate post-operative care, including wound management, pain control, and monitoring for complications.
- Conduct post-operative follow-up visits to assess healing, remove sutures, and address any concerns.
- Develop and update post-operative care plans in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Patient Management and Education :
- Counsel patients on pre- and post-operative instructions, ensuring they understand their care plans.
- Provide education on oral and facial health, hygiene, and preventive care.
- Address patient concerns and questions in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Clinical Documentation :
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, documenting all care provided, medications prescribed, and follow-up plans.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards for clinical documentation.
- Collaboration and Communication :
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and care strategies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
- Travel to Satellite Offices :
- Travel to our satellite offices to provide consistent, high-quality care to patients in various locations.
- Ensure seamless coordination of care across multiple sites, maintaining the same standard of excellence.
