At Salesloft, our Senior Manager, Business Development will be pivotal to our company’s success. You will be a key member of our fast-growing and high-performing Sales Development Org and will be leading and coaching a team of SDRS / BDRS.

Our SDR / BDR team is focused on driving the pipeline for our Sales organization.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for :

  • a team of SDRS / BDRS across Commercial or Enterprise
  • Achieve quarterly outbound pipeline targets
  • Manager, coach, and mentor SDR / BDRs regularly to achieve individual targets
  • Ensures weekly reporting on activity, 6QAs, 6QLs and heroics are surfaced up to Leadership for weekly KPI email
  • Manage team and segment performance reporting in SFDC and Salesloft
  • Assist with Salesloft upkeep and operational management
  • Assigns and project manages SDR / BDR operational upkeep efforts and reporting dashboards with connections to the Commercial segment
  • Reports on segment-wide performance
  • Recruit and train new SDR / BDRs as required by hiring plan

Our Salesloft SDR / BDR team is comprised of seasoned and up-and-coming SDRs & BDRs who are all aligned on one vision and mission :

The SDR / BDR team consists of results-oriented SaaS sales professionals with a strong hunter mentality and a desire to win.

THE SKILL SET : EXAMPLE :

EXAMPLE :

  • 5+ years in SaaS sales; experience managing a Sales Development team in a fast-paced, highly competitive software sales environment
  • A history of consistently performing above team quota and being able to forecast accurately
  • Effectively lead teams with right combination of data and strong personal leadership
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Strong Salesforce skills and experience using Salesloft highly preferred
  • Passionate about training and developing a team
  • Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and closing skills with the ability to sell to decision-making levels
  • Consistent track record of identifying team needs and successfully implementing solutions

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL :

  • Attend Salesloft’s New Hire Orientation, where you will learn our Salesloft story and understand what makes our Lofters unique
  • Join our 3-week Sales Bootcamp, where you will learn our software and all the skills necessary to set you up for success, allowing you to make an impact in the market quickly
  • Build relationships with each member of your team and understand where their performance is and what things need to be worked on
  • Learn the current BDR process - what works, what doesn’t?
  • Learn the Salesloft product and value prop
  • Evaluate and present team strengths and weaknesses

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL :

  • Begin coaching each rep to their weaknesses
  • Build relationships with sales leaders to ensure alignment is as high as possible
  • Onboard new creative strategies to add to our outreach campaigns (calls cadences, video, etc.)
  • Have learned internal tools (Salesforce, Salesloft, Drift, Chili Piper, etc
  • Proactively understand patterns of BDR activity and get ahead of underperformance
  • Develop career plans with each of your direct reports
  • Forecast for the quarters ahead)

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL :

Consistently meet or exceed your team quota

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL :

  • Have the top-performing SDR / BDR team team in the organization
  • Set an example for new managers, and assist in training, onboarding, and motivating new Lofters

The total compensation package for this position may also include performance bonus, stock, benefits and / or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
