  • Turns in monthly dosimetry badges so readings can be reported, checked and posted monthly by the Radiation Safety Officer.
  • Responsible for radiation safety teaching to include the Cardiovascular Laboratory

Staff and Physicians in basic radiation protection and to work with the Radiation Physicist and the State Bureau of Radiation Health in testing radiation equipment as demonstrated by attendance records and State Inspection reports.

Assists in fluoroscoping all lead aprons and thyroid shields annually to ensure their integrity.

Provides top quality diagnostic images for physician Education / Licensure (required) : Graduate of an accredited college for a Radiologic Technologist.

Certification by the KY Bureau of Rad Health and American Registry of Radiological Technologist, CPR certification.Experience (preferred) : Two years’ experience as a general Radiologic Technologist or one year experience as Vascular Tech.

Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.
