Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

ProCare Therapy is excited to bring on a Special Education Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. We're partnering with a district that needs full-time support for a 6th-12th gradecaseload.

Job Details :

  • Onsite near the McLean, Virginia area
  • Start ASAP
  • 37.5 guaranteed service hours per week

students / sites and caseload information will be discussed more in depth with special services' director during interview

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
  • Valid state (VA) teaching certification / license in Special Education.
  • Prior experience working with students with special needs in inner city is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
