IMEG is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking an Electrical Project Designer in our Urbandale, IA office.
As an Electrical Project Designer,you will perform calculations, system design, equipment selections, reports, progress submittals and BIM instructions for the project and specifications required to assure project completeness and accuracy on time, within monetary budget, and in accordance with IMEG design standards.
Some key duties and responsibilities include :
- Lead design for electrical systems and mentor junior staff
- Research, coordinate, verify, schedule and document various design aspects
- Build, maintain, and develop client relationships
- Quickly solve problems and seek the advice of the Project Manager
- Perform services as required by the contract services agreement
Key skills and abilities needed for the position are :
- Mastery of electrical design and technical aspects
- Demonstrated aptitude for project management
- Knowledge and understanding of fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, and BIM programs
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and written
Education and experience requirements are :
- Bachelor’s degree (Science)
- a minimum of 3 years of qualifying experience; 4 preferred
- A minimum of 8 years of qualifying experience without a bachelor's degree
