Sr. Civil Estimator / Project Manager
Provide management for all phases of the commercial / civil / heavy highway / utility construction projects.

Sr. Civil Estimator / Project Manager Details :
- Direct Hire position
- $100, / annually
- First Shift (Monday through Friday from 06 : 00am to 03 : 00am)
- Assists with identifying potential projects for bidding and preparing pre-bid queries
- Consult with legal, finance, equipment, procurement, construction foremen and vendors to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
- Prepare for heavy civil construction estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing and scheduling work
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
- Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
- Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors
- Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
- Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
- Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to complete internally or via a sub-contractor
- Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project
- Visit site and record information about access, drainage and topography, and availability of services such as water and electricity
- Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional and courteous manner
- Develop a cost-effective plan and schedule for project completion following a logical pattern for resource utilization
- Selects and coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project
- Reviews architectural and engineering drawings to ensure all specs and regulations are followed
- Responsible for proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses
- Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion on time and within budget
Sr. Civil Estimator / Project Manager Qualifications :
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience required
- 3+ years of estimating and supervising commercial / heavy civil / heavy highway / utility construction projects experience required
- Use of Bid2Win or similar cost estimating, scheduling and cost tracking software a plus
