Job Title : Level 4 Apprentice Electrician

Reports To : Foreman

Location : Omaha, NE

Job Summary :

The Level 4 Apprentice Electrician is on the path to becoming a fully licensed electrician, taking on significant responsibilities in project management and complex electrical tasks.

In this role, you’ll be expected to lead small projects, mentor other apprentices on site, and demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of electrical work.

Completion of the final year of the 4-year apprenticeship program is required, including tracking On-the-Job Training (OJT) hours and passing all required exams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and execute advanced electrical installations, repairs, and troubleshooting.
• Supervise and mentor lower-level apprentices on site.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and maintain an organized job site.
• Collaborate with the Foreman on project planning and execution.
• Track OJT hours and complete the final year of apprenticeship coursework.
• Prepare for and pass licensing exams required by the state.

Minimum Requirements :

• Completion of Level 3 apprenticeship.
• At least 2 years experience in commercial work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High proficiency in advanced electrical tasks.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Physical Demands :

• Lifting : Regularly lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally more with assistance.
• Standing / Walking : Prolonged standing and walking on various surfaces.
• Climbing : Frequent ladder use and work at heights.
• Bending / Kneeling : Regular bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
• Reaching / Handling : Frequent use of hands for tools and precision work.
• Vision / Hearing : Good vision and hearing required; use of PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection, is mandatory.
• Coordination : Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.

Safety Requirements :

• Comply with OSHA safety guidelines and wear PPE as needed.
• Report hazards and follow safe work practices.

Work Environment :

Indoors and outdoors in various settings, exposed to extreme weather, confined spaces, and high elevations.

• Protective equipment is required in noisy, dusty, or hazardous environments.
• Work may involve tight spaces and handling heavy tools.
• Overtime, weekend, and emergency work may be required.
