Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Three (3) years of full-time, paid social services experience working in a school setting or with children, parents, or community organizations.
All work experience related to the position must be included on the resume.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of :
community resources, supplemental educational services and social service agencies
Ability to :
- successfully work with children.
- employ tact, diplomacy and sound judgment in dealing with sensitive and / or confidential issues and hostile attitudes.
- work effectively with parents / guardians and children from varying socio-economic levels and cultural backgrounds to address their specific concerns.
- effectively present information and respond to questions in various settings.
- write routine reports and correspondence.
- use a personal computer with regards to e-mail, internet browsers and word processing and the ability to learn other necessary software.
- read and interpret various documents, such as but not limited to, safety rules and governmental regulations.
- communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- establish and maintain effective working relationships.

- Ability to :
- speak English (and) the required foreign language fluently.
