Sr. Technical Program Manager, Kuiper Ground Systems Engineering

Have you ever wanted to lead satellite ground systems development efforts for a high-performance Low Earth Orbit constellation?

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to support the planning and execution of software-related development efforts that will eventually lead us to high-rate production, installation, and monitoring of Kuiper ground systems equipment.

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

You will work with Software Development teams, multiple suppliers, and other Kuiper Engineering teams to ensure internal and external requirements are met for the development and production of Gateway and TT&C terminals.

Key job responsibilities

In this role you will :

• Work with Software Development teams, multiple suppliers, and other Kuiper Engineering teams to ensure internal and external requirements are met for the development and production of Gateway and TT&C terminals.
• Support the delivery of critical ground systems software in preparation for hardware delivery, launch, and deployment
• Work with industry leading suppliers to ensure the delivery of the highest quality products
• Create plans that have clear, measurable success criteria, and clearly communicate progress and outcomes with leadership
• Relentlessly simplify and demonstrate significant innovation, creativity, and good judgment when solving challenging problems
• Drive best practices on the team, deal with ambiguity and competing objectives, and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks
• Write effective narratives and present them concisely and effectively to senior management

Export Control Requirement : Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.

S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

About the team

The Ground Systems team is developing globally located high data rate satellite communication terminals which operate off of automated software driven systems and which maintain critical connectivity from the ground to the complete Kuiper constellation.

This team is driving the development, deployment and long-term operability of Kuiper ground station terminals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
• 3+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience defining KPI's / SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
• Experience developing or managing RF or embedded system
