About The Position
Job Title : Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist Job Specialty : Cardiac Cath Lab Job Duration : 14 weeks Shift : Day 5x8 Hr Guaranteed Hours : 40 per week Experience : Preferred - Two (2) years in Cardiology / Cath Lab License : Registered ARRT or must become a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCIS) within 18 months of hire Certifications : - BLS - American Heart Association - Current ACLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association - Fluoroscopy Certification - Radiation badges required Must-Have : English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Job Description : - Provide technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
- Assist physicians in radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, acting as a scrub assistant to maintain sterile conditions.
- Operate imaging equipment and monitor / document procedure images and events from the control room.- Educate patients and their families about the procedure and expected outcomes.
- Teach patients and families about pre-and post-procedure physical conditions.- Maintain unit order and cleanliness and ensure appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures.
- Complete daily, progress, and discharge documentation per departmental standards.- Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying areas for improvement to enhance patient satisfaction and safety.
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization and adhere to service behavior standards.- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
