Job Summary :
As the Manager, Growth & Journey Marketing , you will be responsible for innovating and developing the strategies and capabilities to directly address our viewers to build lasting relationships.
This role will oversee all aspects of day-to-day development and execution of the email marketing program as well as strategic alignment with other direct to consumer digital marketing channels, to drive multichannel acquisition and retention.
The ideal candidate will be data-driven, detail-oriented, and creative . This is a highly collaborative and hands-on role, requiring the ability to execute at the campaign and journey level while also driving toward big picture goals and objectives.
This role is hybrid, based out of Washington, DC, New York, NY, or Chicago, IL
Responsibilities :
Manage and develop GEICO’s email channel including planning, strategy, end-to-end execution, optimization, and analysis of journey marketing and / or transactional messages across the customer lifecycle.
Own and develop multichannel customer journeys through automated / triggered messaging in collaboration with business partners across email, SMS, push, digital advertising, call center, and agent communications to drive customer acquisition and retention.
Manage and mentor a team of 1-3.
Work with Growth & Journey marketing team members and cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of campaigns, develop audiences and creative, and identify strategic growth opportunities by leveraging data and insights.
Prioritize and evangelize multi-channel, Journey-based marketing strategies
Build an understanding of the Customer database and infrastructure in order to drive effective audience segmentation, targeting, and personalization.
Conduct ongoing A / B testing to optimize campaigns and increase the effectiveness of marketing programs.
Develop strong working relationships and collaborate with internal and external partners and product owners to understand and translate their vision into actional business requirements.
Drive and measure success against departmental KPIs for acquisition, customer engagement, retention, and personalization initiatives.
Provide recommendations and apply learnings to optimize future campaign performance
Maintain thorough documentation of campaigns and processes and contribute towards process optimization and opportunity identification
Ensure governance standards and legal compliance requirements for all direct marketing are upheld with partners, agencies, and vendors.
Act as subject matter expert and communicate performance results, strategy, and make recommendations to internal partners. Drive business reviews
Manage against budgets, timelines, and KPIs.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices

Qualifications : Bachelor's degree

5+ years of relevant email marketing experience using platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, Cheetah Digital, Braze, Movable Ink, Validity, etc.
2+ years’ experience managing a cross functional team with proven aptitude for leadership, fostering open communication and individual development.
Hands on knowledge of end-to-end email and digital marketing concepts and processes, including but not limited to multichannel journey-based marketing strategies, campaign set up and deployment, copywriting, design, audience targeting and segmentation, deliverability, CRM best practices, QA, A / B testing, and legal compliance
Proficiency in HTML coding for email template manipulation and maintenance, with knowledge of strategies and techniques to enable personalization through coding such as AMPscript in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Dreamweaver, or comparable tools
Experience with A / B testing and optimization strategies
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Highly detail-oriented, data-driven, self-starter, innovative and analytical
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Proven track record of achieving results in a matrixed environment
Demonstrable aptitude for learning new skills, programs, and processes
Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications :
Basic SQL knowledge
Experience with PowerBI, PowerAutomate, and Azure Dev Ops (or similar project management tools)
Experience in the Insurance, Financial Services, Telecom or other subscription-based businesses

Annual Salary
$102,000.00 - $168,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate / annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
