LSP is partnering with a medical device client of ours who is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sr. Electrical Engineer to join their team in Brooklyn, NY!
This engineer will play an integral role on our client's R&D team, diagnosing and performing comprehensive analysis on both existing as well as new electronic designs.
This will include collaborating with team of embedded software engineers to facilitate system implementation.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the development of electronics for new products, from initial concept to mass production.
- Refine existing PCBs, identifying opportunities to enhance capabilities, reduce costs, and replace obsolete components.
- Work closely with embedded systems and mechanical engineers to ensure all electronics meet product requirements.
- Develop quality assurance tests for finished PCBs and assist with regulatory approval processes, including FCC and CE compliance.
Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience in hands-on design of mixed signal circuits
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Knowledge of mixed signal design principles, microprocessor and microcontroller architectures, diverse core types, bus systems, memory access methods, DMA mechanisms, timer & interrupt functions, and their application to intricate design challenges.
- Proficient in both digital and analog (Spice) simulation tools.
- Proficient understanding of high-speed circuit PCB design methodologies, including impedance optimization, dielectric material selection, stack-up configuration, and characteristic impedance considerations.
- Familiarity with IC-based circuit solutions across analog, digital, and mixed-signal domains.
- Creating peripheral interfaces, encompassing both analog components (Op-amps, balanced drivers, power drivers, AD / DC, DC / DC linear and SMPS, mixed-signal ADC) and digital interfaces (USB, HDMI, Ethernet, QSPI, I2C, UART, I2S, GPIO including differential).
