Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant at Maitri Wellness in Ridgewood, NJ. The role involves talking directly to patients, doing vitals, drawing blood, vision screening, hearing screening and exercise tolerance tests.
It also includes uploading their data to a chart, creating lab requisitions, using the centrifuge, answering phone calls, communicating with another company that provides patient benefits regarding scheduling and any issues that patients may have.
It also includes various other administrative tasks in a medical setting to ensure efficient operations and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both with patients and staff
- Timeliness and cleanliness are a must
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to make mistakes while learning, and then learn from those mistakes to grow
- Ability to ask questions when they arise
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems, ability to learn a new system, use fax machines, scanners, printers, and google docs with ease
- Certification as a Medical Administrative Assistant
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
