A Medical Assistant - is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience.

Requirements for working as a Medical Assistants, MA

• Graduated of a Medical Assistant Clinical Training Program or Externship program or 2 or more years of current, clinically relevant experience.
• Preferred : RMA, AAMA, AMT, or CMA registration or certification
• Medical Terminology
• Current American Heart Association BCLS / CPR Certification
• Completion of High School Diploma or GED

What Medical Assistants, MAs will do :

• Room set up and patient preparation
• Taking vitals
• Drawing blood and giving injections and immunizations.
• Performing office tests (Point of Care Testing)
• Administrative duties

May perform or assisting with in-office procedures / treatments
