Overview
Media Data Solutions has been providing payroll services for over 45 years and is looking for a motivated Payroll Supervisor to join our team and be part of our growing business.
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end experience of our clients across our various payroll and HR solutions.
You will manage an ongoing book of 100s of clients, ensuring their experiences are hassle-free, allowing our customers the time to run their businesses while we run their payroll.
As Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of payroll representative tasked with entering and processing payroll, running reports, and other payroll-related tasks.

Responsibilities
Responsible and fully accountable for the payroll and audit function of multiple clients.
- Input and successfully transmit client payrolls accurately and timely, assisting peers as needed to meet weekly and bi-weekly Payroll processing.
- Support inbound client calls to process payroll, enter payroll and tax information and answer questions for clients in multiple states.
- Perform quarterly & year-end audits of client payroll data and tax forms.
- Serve as the client's primary point of contact for any questions regarding their account and build relationships with clients to establish trust and retention.
- Maintain knowledge of the payroll processing system and changes in wage and tax laws at the federal and state level to serve as a subject matter expert and develop a trusted relationship with both internal and external partners.
- Take initiative to elevate the client experience, quickly resolve situations and focus on one call resolution.
- Research and troubleshoot client issues, providing efficient and timely solutions.
- Communicate ideas, identify areas for process improvement, and document tasks for internal / external knowledge.
- Write and review department procedures to ensure resources are up to date and accurate. Recommends changes if necessary.
- Embrace teamwork and regularly provide actionable feedback across internal teams.
Qualifications
Required :
- Knowledge of payroll, payroll taxes, and payroll tax returns is required.
- Accounting experience is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and handle high volume workload.
- Exceptional service orientation towards clients, both internal and external.
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of high-accuracy performance.
- Desire to get things done right the first time and collaboratively solve issues.
Preferred :
- Experience with CyberPay software is a plus.
- Work experience with a third-party payroll provider is preferred but not required.
