Position : Manufacturing Engineer
Location : Metro Detroit Area (Novi, Warren, Auburn Hills, Detroit depending on where you are in a project)
Duration : 1 year contract + extensions want these candidates long term, have converted perm in the past
Hours / Shift : 1st shift (may vary when supporting various plants) 9-12 hour days (whatever is needed on project)
Travel : local travel to suppliers (Novi, Warren, Auburn Hills) & need to be open to long term travel for the projects to out of state GM plants
OT : Yes
Compensation : $30-$40 / hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Engineering can be in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Advanced Manufacturing as long as they want to be in Manufacturing
- 0-5 years of experience in manufacturing / process manufacturing
- MS Office presenting and managing in
Plusses :
- Prior BIW experience
- CAD / AutoCAD / NX / Teamcenter
- Issue resolution, root cause analysis, issue tracking, or risk mitigation experience
- Plant safety knowledge
- Lock out / tag out experience
Day to Day :
Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer in the Hamtramck, Michigan area. The Manufacturing Engineer is going to be 100% responsible for the program that they will be on.
They will be working with various organizations and suppliers at the company. They will be responsible for managing designs, reviews, and small projects.
They will also be responsible for supporting and executing the design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch, and continuous improvement of equipment and tools that are required in the plants for high quality assembly productions.
Responsible for demonstrating strong analytical abilities, communication, and interpersonal skills that are required to build relationships with teams members and customers to solve any problems or resolve issues.
Managing major projects and assignments with full autonomy and accountability for results.
Timeline of Project :
Beginning of Project : Having supplier meetings to prepare for the project
Middle of Project : Mostly working at the supplier locations to physically build and install the tools at the supplier to make sure things are running smoothly.
Will be there to address any issues that arise.
End of Project : Traveling to the plant to get the project launched
