Senior Buyer will oversee the successful purchasing of medical device components to support manufacturing and ensure ongoing competitiveness and profitability.

This individual will work directly with domestic and international suppliers to develop strong business relationships and establish a supplier base as a platform for future growth.

Nature of Role : Reporting to the Materials Manager, this person will be a key member of a core team that includes experienced professionals in Engineering, Commodity Management, Supplier Quality and Manufacturing in a fast pace environment.

While managing KanBan ordering process, this is also a broad-based role incorporating supplier communications, negotiation, document preparation, records management, financial administration, scheduling, inventory management, and general problem-solving.

The successful candidate will be a key team member in developing standard processes and in the support of ongoing manufacturing operations.

Requirements :

• 3 years of experience with complex supply chains and inventory management systems.
• A Bachelors Degree in business or in a technical discipline with experience in purchasing is preferred.
• This position requires outstanding organizational and follow-through skills, strong interpersonal and communication skill, and a proven ability to work independently.

Preferred Experience :

• Knowledge of International procurement & shipping (total cost model)
• Negotiation skills
• Knowledge of Oracle or other business operations / purchasing system
• Experience with total cost of material sourcing and procuring
• Experience with complex supply chains and inventory management systems
• Manage multiple projects with high fluidity of priorities changes
• Proven experience and results in negotiating with suppliers
• Strong Computer Skills Required -Advanced skills in Microsoft Products; including advanced-level skills in Excel
• Fluency in secondary language such as Chinese or Spanish
