Performs semiskilled work and assists higher-level coworkers in performing more skilled tasks in the repair, maintenance and installation of building, plumbing fixtures / equipment, air conditioning, electrical and other mechanical equipment.
May perform minor plastering, drywall, cement work and interior / exterior painting; assists with maintenance of walls, doors, floors, buildings, stairways, windows, screens, wood fixtures and furniture.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of four (4) years of experience in building / facilities maintenance, repair or construction at the semiskilled level.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE : Repairing, maintaining or installing carpentry, plumbing, electrical or air conditioning equipment in a commercial / institutional / correctional facility (must specify on application) ;
