Pharmacy Technician
The Arizona Humane Society is looking for a dedicated full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our shelter medical team. This position will report to our state-of-the-art Rob and Melani Walton Papago Park Campus.

Status : Full-time hourly
Schedule : 4, 10 hour shifts, including weekend days
Reports To : Inventory Control Supervisor

A Day in the Life :
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the health and well-being of animals in our care by ensuring the accurate dispensing and safe handling of medications.
Your primary responsibility will be to get medications ready internally to be dispensed for the animals in the shelter, animals that are in foster homes or animals going to their adoptive homes.
You will assist team members across multiple departments with instructions for medication administration. You will help maintain an accurate inventory of supplies and medications so that needed supplies and medications are always ready to be used.
Job Requirements :
- High school diploma / GED.
- Minimum of two years of experience at a veterinary hospital, pharmacy and or shelter experience. Education may substitute for experience.
- Ability to draw medications in tenth increments for syringe medications.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal customers in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain composed while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Explorer; able to learn other software programs as necessary.
Proficiency with or able to learn / use Chameleon software (for use with animals in a shelter environment).
Work Environment / Physical Demands :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
