Job Summary
As an Unarmed Security Officer at our Gated Community, you'll be responsible for roving the community, building relations with residents and their guests, and resolving any issues.
Our team is a trusted partner and we aim to create the best environment for our residents, as such, customer service is paramount to our success.
In addition to resident / guest relations, you will be responsible for safeguarding the facility's property, personnel, and equipment.
This means mitigating any risk, beautifying the property when necessary, and going out of your way to ensure a memorable experience.
Essential Functions
- Create a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and vendors.
- Communicate appropriately with supervisors, peers, client associates, and the general public professionally.
- Ensure that the security team meets organizational goals for productivity, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Display intermediate / advanced computer skills to utilize the proprietary software on-site.
- Conduct thorough foot patrols around the premises to observe anything out of the ordinary.
- Provide exceptional customer service while displaying a positive attitude.
- Create and maintain a thorough understanding of standard operating procedures, site-specific post orders and duties, and client safety programs.
- Make ethical judgment decisions while carrying out your responsibilities according to company and client policies.
- Demonstrate keen attention to detail in all aspects of the job to ensure safety and security for all on-site.
- Handle sensitive information and material, in doing so, remain confidential at all times.
- Demonstrate the highest levels of integrity in the performance of your duties.
- Maintain a flexible schedule and ability to work overtime if and when required or in the event of an emergency.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age, per state standards.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have a clean MVR
- Active Unarmed Guard Card (We can help with this!)
- One year of experience in either contract security, hospitality, guest relations, or law enforcement experience.
- Must have some post-secondary education
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certified. (We provide these for FREE!)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States legally.
- Submit a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Possess the minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent education.
- If military experience must be able to provide a copy of DD-, Form 4.
